Internalization of Multicultural-Based Islamic Education: Sunni-Shia Synergy in Banjaran Bangsri Village, Jepara

This research aims to reveal the role of Sunni-Shia Islamic educational institutions in building multiculturalism a pluralistic society. So far, relationship has been depicted conflictual scheme. The method was qualitative from sociology education perspective. Through in-depth interviews, participatory observation and documentation techniques, this study showed that atmosphere peace between Banjaran is reflected social works humanity, organizations institutions. Multicultural cannot be separated formal non-formal such as TPQ Al-Husainiah (Shia), Ma'arif 17 KH. Muhammad Arif (Sunni) MI Mabadil Huda (Sunni). kinship also contribution maintaining harmony Banjaran. Theoretically, contributes development multicultural models rural. Practically, it beneficial for awareness tolerance religious sects.
